A Strip map or road map, taken from a road book, Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd. The text was by John Owen and the map was produced by Emanuel Bowen. The book was published by Thomas Bowles of, St Paul's Churchyard, London, in around the 1720's onwards. This map is part of a two sided sheet.

Page 217 shows the road through Basingstoke, Alton, Petersfield, Hampshire then to Chichester, West Sussex; with text for Alton, for the Vale of the White Horse, and coat of arms and text for Chichester.

Page 218 shows a header cartouche for the Road from Oxford to Coventry then Derby; and a map of Warwickshire.
