The fine art collection consists of more than 16,000 paintings, sketches and prints which, for the most part, were created for aesthetic purposes. The collection illustrates the character and development of the county, principally from the 18th century to the present day.
Objects from our fine art collection are on display across the county in our museums.
The material stored at our Chilcomb and F2 collections centres in Winchester is available by prior appointment, to researchers and through specialist workshops and tours.
