Hampshire Cultural Trust cares for the collections owned by Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council. We are responsible for the stewardship of over 2.5 million objects relating to Hampshire's cultural heritage.

Many people are extremely generous in offering objects to museums but as we can’t collect everything, each object offered to us has to be assessed to see how it fits into our collection. If you have an object that you think the Hampshire Cultural Trust would like to collect then please contact us first to discuss it.

Any information you have about the object, such as local connections, where it was found or how it was used, will help us to make a decision. Please email collections@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk or call 01962 678140.

Collections development policy
