Alec- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named ‘Alec’ by Mr William Simpson after Sir Alec Guinness. Mr Simpson was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This teddy has a swivel head and jointed limbs, a crocheted top in red, green and white, and red crocheted pointed hat stitched on. The teddy has been given a card label reading 'Histrionic Bear Resting', he is named after Sir Alec Guinness

This teddy bear was a gift to Mr Simpson in 1996 from Bruce and Raff Bint.
