Baby's cap, bonnet, fine linen, six drawstrings round face with two narrow bands of fine whitework between, caul embroidered with diamonds of dots and eyelets, 5cm diameter crown with Ayrshire work motif with needle filling and scalloped tabs, cap probably, embroidery uses raised dots, seeding and tiny eyelets, two floral tails between runners, crown has larger eyelets round edge, and tabs of grouped scallops, has had 5mm tuck round crown, now unpicked, caul pieced at back, cream ribbon attached, made at Ayrshire, 1820 to 1829
