Baby's cap, fine linen, double headpiece, caul seam hemstitched, with 2mm lace edging sewn on, caul has smocked gauging around keyhole crown of brussels or devon lace with 3 leaf sprays, crown lined with linen, keyhole outlined with hemstitch, 3 leaf sprays, 1cm of lace excess, turned up, crown diameter 3.5cm, gauging etc 1cm deep, headpieces 6cm and 6.7cm deep, crown lining tacked in, though similar fabric - later?, c1790-1809
