Baby's cap or undercap, fine cotton, topstitched 6.5cm diameter crown, edges have 5mm casing for drawstring and Valenciennes lace frill, narrow ribbon ties, stiff, organdie-like fabric, casings formed by turnings, casing encloses ribbon, but no loose ends for adjustment, possibly adjusted at c back seam, covered by label, 19cm ties, c1850-1919
