Bag, reticule, woolwork on canvas, front with chequerboard design of alternating floral and abstract motifs, reverse with paisley pattern, all edges piped with pale pink and white cord, matching cord handles with two ornate gilt or pinchbeck trims shaped as thistles, either side of top opening trimmed with large pink and white chenille tassels, lined white silk, unstiffened, approximate width 150mm, approximate depth 110mm, c1830-1840s
