Bonnet, cap, infant's, coif style, lace-knitted in fine cotton with openwork areas divided by narrow cables, headpiece of same pattern, caul shaped into 70mm diameter crown with star motif, slotting between caul and headpiece with narrow cream ribbon run through, caul and crown in one, with headpiece joined by bobbin slotting with net behind, drawstring in net casing at front edge, back turned under to take drawstring, eyelet worked near centre of crown, approximate height 140mm, approximate depth 140mm, c1840-1859
