Bonnet, cap, infant's, coif style, white cotton, caul embroidered with whitework sprigs, three pairs of drawstrings round headpiece with sprays of flowers between, caul gathered into horseshoe crown of matching whitework, with tabs, caul appears to be single piece, embroidered to shape, with 2mcm bands of embroidery, sprigs have tiny eyelets, flowers on crown have larger eyelet centres with small needle fillings, drawstring at lower edge ties at centre, approximate height 160mm, approximate depth 150mm, c1830-1849
