Boots, pair, women's, ankle boots, dark brown kid, lined white cotton or linen with a band of white kid around the inside top edge, buttoned with seven brown buttons and scallop edged apron piped in cream kid, apron lined fawn kid, side seam curves over instep and is decorated with fine cream and ochre stitching, short vamp with fine decorative cream stitched detail over the toe, straight rear seam covered with tapered strip of matching dark brown kid, stacked heel, leather sole which is very narrow and polished at the waist, broad square toe, approximate overall length 250mm, approximate heel height 25mm, approximate width of sole 60mm, c1855-1860s
