'The effigy of the husband is now lost from this brass, but those of his wife and their six daughters remain. Standing full face to the right of the rubbing, she is represented as wearing the pedimental headdress with its frontlet, embroidered here with a quatrefoil design, meeting in an inverted V over the forehead, its lappets falling below the shoulders in front and a veil falling behind. Her dress has a square-necked, fitted bodice, turned back fur cuffs, a full skirt and a belt buckled in front, its pendant end reaching almost to the ground. To the viewer's left is a plate with semi-profile effigies of six daughters, all wearing dresses similar to that of their mother but without the belt and with the first three wearing pedimental headdress and the last three with flowing hair, indicating their unmarried state' (Source: Google search engine: M.S.IIIB London: 'F' series
