'This is a small brass on the wall of the north pier of the chancel arch facing west. It has round it a curious classical Jacobean oak frame consisting of two pilasters and a pediment. The Bulkleys are of Burgate House just outside Fordingbridge on Salisbury Road. There are several memorial tablets to them ( and the Coventrys related to them) in the church and a modern brass inscription to the son of the Hon.John Coventry is on the wall near this one. The coat of arms is tinctured with the metals, or argent, both coming out black, the field is sable' (Source: Herbert Druitt's Catalogue of Brass Rubbings)
