Captain Flatford- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Captain Flatford' by Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This teddy bear has been dressed in a red and white top and white shorts long with a white sailor’s cap and red spotted bowtie.

Mr Simpson partnered this teddy bear with another one in his collection, 'Mousse', a bear which Mr Simpson was Captain Flatford's cabin boy. This teddy bear was a gift to Mr Simpson from a friend of his, Sheila and Jim Poole in 1998. They bought tis at the tourist centre at Flatford Mill.
