Copper alloy mount in the form of a cross crosslet with a single integral rivet, post-medieval to modern

A copper alloy cruciform mount, in the form of a cross crosslet with a single integral rivet, probably of post-medieval to modern date (c. AD 1700 - 1900).  The outside edges of the mount are bevelled. The arrangement of the arms of the cross is such that four openwork squares are formed. The upper surfaces has a plain raised border and a further plain recessed border. The centre of the mount is also raised. The reverse is flat and hollow and bears the impressions of the upper surface decoration indicating that the mount is machine pressed and therefore of relatively modern date. At the centre of the reverse is a single integral pointed rivet or spike, now bent over (L. 18.7mm. Th. 2mm). Even dark green patina.
