Lithophane, porcelain, smear glazed, showing Cupid and a woman in classical dress beside a balustrade, Cupid carries a bird cage and has just given or is about to receive the bird which the woman holds in her hand; impressed pattern number 1586 on back, probably made by the Plauesche Porzellanmanufactur, Plaue, Thuringia, Germany, late 19th century.
