Day cap, night cap, cap, women's, fine white net, edges trimmed with a frill of matching white net, the front edge is trimmed with a deeper frill of net which tapers and extends on either side to form short fish-tailed lappets, plain caul, large puffed crown gathered in to caul on fine cotton cord which ties at the nape, lower edge trimmed matching narrow fril of net, unlined, fragile and with some damage, approximate height including lappets 360mm, approximate depth 250mm, c1820-1840
