Eastcote - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

Teddy bear, 'Eastcote' made by Channel Island Toys, Guernsey, tawny long-hair fabric, tail, trimmed muzzle, contrasting light brown pads, red knitted jumper and white spotted red neck ribbon, card label attached at front 'Channel Island Toys' with the Guernsey coat of arms, 'Eastcote' was embroidered in gold on the jumper especially for Mr Simpson, as it was his local London Transport station for many years.

Mr Simpson's note reads: Specially ordered "personalised" bear to represent the former London Transport station used by the owner throughout his working life. This bear was actually ordered through Scotts of Stowe but, like the London Transport Bears (156-185) he was made by Channel Islands Toys.
