Found, using a metal detector, in the Winchester area

These three uninscribed Iron Age coins of broadly similar date are of types produced or used in the south-east of Britain. They are likely to have been deposited for ritual or religious purposes, perhaps, on the site of a sacred grove or other feature in the landscape. Religious sites are common locations for coin deposits from the pre-Roman Iron Age.
