Jim- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

Jim- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Jim' by Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This teddy bear is made of honey colour long pile nylon fabric and has a triangular shaped head incorporating the ears. A peach colour neck ribbon is stitched on. This teddy bear may have been manufactured at home.

Mr Simpson has partnered this teddy bear with Sheila, another bear in the collection. These two teddy bears were gifts from one of Mr Simpson’s friends Sheila and Jim Pople who bought the pair from a jumble sale.
