Post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress hook found by metal detector at Ovington, Itchen Stoke and Ovington, Hampshire. Circular, convex body, with raised circular border around a moulded possible wolf design. To right of this design perforated, possibly by corrosion. Sub-rectangular loop. End missing from hook.

This cast copper-alloy dress hook features a moulded design, which might perhaps be the figure of a wolf. The end is now missing from the hook. Dress hooks were used in Tudor England to secure or close items of dress.
