The locomotive image is too small to suggest an identification; tall chimney, no spectacle plate, could be 2-2-2 tender engine, mid 19th century type. The station was Shapley Heath Station in 1838; it became Winchfield Station later.
The older couple, on the right, are wearing clothes of the period 1823-28; the mother and daughter on the left are a little more uptodate, their costume dates from the period 1828-35. : Alison Carter: 2001
