Purse, papier mache, press closure, front face of black with gold border and having coloured central roundel of classical temple in gilt frame, reverse of plain black with small central oval of gilt, lined rose pink silk with four internal compartments one of which has gilt frame with lever closure, in one of the compartments there is a tiny triangular envelope of shiny light blue paper containing a quantity of tiny black paper ovals like confetti, approximate width 80mm, approximate depth 60mm, c1860-1870
