Shoes, pair, women's, barette style, pale grey suede, lined cream kid, high Louis heel with flared base, curved side seams and straight rear seam, high cut vamp with tongue cut to a point, pointed toe, the vamp is trimmed with cut steel beading which is now rusting, vamp has a decorative cut-out design simulating bar straps, the shoe ties with a lace which threads through two eyelets in the tongue to a pair of latchets, lace now missing and replaced with white elastic, decorative cream satin insole originally stamped Manufactured in Vienna for Peter Robinson, 212 Oxford Street and Regent Street, London, but now almost entirely worn away, with red embroidery round the edge of insole, leather sole, approximate length 265mm, approximate heel height 75mm, approximate width of sole 70mm, c1890-1915
