Skirt, mid calf level hem, circular, crazy patchwork, in a variety of weights and types of furnishing fabric, cotton and rayon mixed, joined with featherstitch in varied colours, backed with cream cotton, stiffened waistband of black sateen closed with hooks and eyes, pale blue metal zip stamped Crown, hem bordered with a band of black sateen backed with a band of white net, homemade for a party to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953
