Stanley - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

Teddy bear, 'Stanley' made in Germany by Strunz. Wears knitted scarf.

Mr Simpson's note reads: A 1912 Strunz (copy of Steiff) bought at Christie's in July 2005. Additional card note reads: One of the famous Stunz imitation Steiff bears made in Germany in 1910. Althought these bears are virtually fakes, they are so famous and rare that they are worth almost as much as an original Steiff of the same period.
