Sunbonnet, women's, dark navy and white hairstriped cotton, the brim has five rows of cording with a narrow self frill, the caul has graduated bands of cording separated by narrow self frills, the horseshoe shaped crown had vertical cording in a wide central band with narrow bands of double cording on either side, the crown is edged with single cord and a double self frill, deep bavolet or curtain, flat bow at the nape, wide ties of matching cotton, the caul and crown are lined with striped in cotton in shades of grey on white, well worn and darned, approximate height overall 370mm, approximate depth 300mm, c1907
