Swissy- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Swissy' by Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This bear has a swivel head with limbs on wire frame, homemade jacket and trousers of blue cotton with peach colour button stitched to bear, a red wool jumper and knitted vest, long wool scarf, a child's plastic watch and a homemade Swiss flag.

This teddy bear was bought in 1955 whilst Mr Simpson was on holiday in Montreux in Switzerland.
