Old label reads; Teapot and cover: deep cream; press-moulded in two parts, luted together, in imitation of a pinecone and decorated with copper and iron stained lead-glaze: fruit and vegetable forms were copied from Continantal wares and English porcelain such as Chelsea and Longton Hall: they formed the bulk of the creamware produced by Thomas Whieldon and Josiah Wedgwood at Fenton Vivian, Staffordshire, 1754-1759.
