This teddy bear was named ‘Emile' by Mr William Simpson, who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. Emile has jointed limbs and wears grey trousers, a red and cream check shirt and a cream and brown tweed knitted jumper with a wine coloured trim.
Yvette was received by Mr Simpson as a gift from L Denimal of Dunkerque in Christmas 2005. The bear shows no evidence of its country of manufacture but it was probably intended as a Motor Car mascot as it had a loop attached to the head. This loop was removed. Possibly belongs with Mr Simpson's teddy bear 'Yvette'.
