August - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection
This teddy bear was named ‘August' by Mr William Simpson, who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. August is pale coffee coloured with darker pads and a pointed nose. This teddy bear comes with a blue box with the text 'Colour Box Miniatures' on the back, as well as a leaflet inside with 'Peter Fagan's Teddy Collection' and the name and a picture of the bear and its potted history inside.
August is one of three Colourbox ceramic Bears, along with 'Peregrine' and 'Chocolate Chip', received by Mr Simpson from L Denimal of Dunkerque at Christmas 2001.
