Chocolate Chip - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection
This teddy bear was named ‘Chocolate Chip' by Mr William Simpson, who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. Chocolate Chip light brown with a textured finish. The teddy bear wears white shorts and a blue waistcoat. Chocolate Chip has a gummed label on base with its name and number. This teddy bear comes with a blue box with the text 'Colour Box Miniatures' on the back, as well as a leaflet inside with 'Peter Fagan's Teddy Collection' and the name and a picture of the bear and its potted history inside.
Chocolate Chip is one of three Colourbox ceramic Bears, along with 'Peregrine' and 'August', received by Mr Simpson from L Denimal of Dunkerque at Christmas 2001.
