Monty - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection
This teddy bear was named ‘Monty’ by Mr William Simpson who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. Monty is made of honey coloured longer fibre polyester fabric, and has a pronounced snout as well as suede pads. This teddy bear wears a knitted bronze scarf, and has a card label in its right ear with the Bliss Bear logo and 'Monty, The Bliss Collection from Heartfelt Europe, Handmade in China' on the reverse. a Bliss Bears label has been sewn onto Monty's back.
Monty was made in China for Bliss Bears, Trendle International Ltd. Monty belongs with another bear called Margret. These two bears were a gift from the Lym Valley Croquet Club in 2005 for Mr Simpsons 90th birthday.
