Teddy Bear

Harriet - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Harriet' by Mr William Simpson who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears.  She is a Patented Yes/No bear (No54), from Shucho, first appearing in 1921. She has golden mohair plush fur, black boot button eyes and a stitched nose and mouth.  Harriet's tail is connected to the swivel mechanism which allows for her head to move up/down and left/right.  Inside she also has a squeaker mechanism.  She can be seen wearing a handmade brown, blue and pink cotton dress.
