Winston - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection
This teddy bear was named ‘Winston' by Mr William Simpson who was an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. Winston has a swivel head and jointed limbs. The tail operates the movements of the head. A certificate belongs with the bear and maker's labels are attached on its back. Winston wears a white cotton collar and black necktie.
This is an English Dean's bear, bought new in June 2001 from Dean's Company. Winston is a "Yes/No" Bear using a similar mechanism to that in the original Schuco "Yes/No" Bears.
