Old label reads; Tureen and stand: pale cream: green glaze: slip-cast: the melon shape decorated with applied moulded and sprigged flowers and a small melon and luted to the leaf-shaped stand: flowers and a small melon and luted to the leaf-shaped stand: the hole is for a ladle (missing): this form was made by Wedgwood and Whitehead's in Staffordshire but the glaze suggests this is a Leeds Pottery example: Hartley, Greens & Co, c. 1775-1780.
