Terry-William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

Terry-William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Terry' by Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This teddy has gingery brown plush fabric. The head is able to swivel and the teddy also has jointed limbs.

It is complete with homemade clothes, including a purple and striped piece of material for scarf and a knitted jumper in yellow and green stripes. Presumably these clothes were made by Mr Simpson.

This teddy bear was bought in Lyme Regis in 1988 as a companion for another teddy, Tessa. Tessa is known to have been made in Korea. The similarity between the two bears lead Mr Simpson to associate the two.
