Underground - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

Teddy bear, 'Underground', pale biscuit plush fabric, dark brown pads, jointed limbs, discoloured white jumper with the Underground logo on front, label on left front leg 'Imported by Emblem Print Products Ltd, Derby', card label attached to left ear cut in shape of paw and 'Paw Print', bar code label shows 'Tube Bear ~9.95'.

Mr Simpson's note reads: The following ten bears ( 156 - 165) were bought as a collection form the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden, London. They are all the product of Channel Island Toys in St Peter Port, Guernsey. A general repreentative of London Transport simply bearing the red circle logo on his jersey.
