Veronica - William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named Veronica and belonged to Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. She was made in a fixed sitting position and resides in an orange cardboard box. She wears a red cotton top and a gilt heart-shaped locket set with a brilliant in the middle. A blue croquet ball is sewn to Veronica's left front paw. 

Veronica was made in Exeter by C GB. Mr Simpson received her as a gift in 1990 from 'Vera Liddiard of Lyme Regis', a member of the croquet club.
