Victoria- William Simpson Teddy Bear Collection

This teddy bear was named 'Victoria' was collected by Mr William Simpson, an avid collector of more than 250 teddy bears. This teddy is dressed in a blue flower-sprigged dress with white neck trim, pale blue apron with lace edging and white cotton drawers, gilt brooch with four large blue coloured stones.

Mr Simpson recorded how this teddy bear as a gift from Sheila and Jim Pople of Lyme Regis and was intended as a mate for Paddington, hence her name. She has no labels attached and it was possibly made in Lyme Regis by an amateur manufacture.
