Bone needle case

Post-medieval, 18th century

Found during excavations by the Winchester Excavations Committee in the Brooks area of Winchester in the early- to mid- 1960s

This lid from a needle case consists of a lathe-turned moulded cylinder with a pattern of indented circles and a screw thread inside.
